With the Vibrant catchtank, the oil vapours from the crankcase ventilation are no longer fed back into the intake tract. Vibrant\'s 4-port catchtanks offer you the option of returning the filtered air to the circuit (closed circuit). The 2-port version has an integrated stainless steel vent, which means that no external vent filter is required for venting to the atmosphere. The advantages of this system are: No contamination of the intake valves and the intake tract. No more idle fluctuations due to dirty throttle valve or swirl flaps. In winter at temperatures below 0C°, the condensation that forms in the system can freeze. This would result in increased crankcase pressure, which can lead to engine damage.
