Oil catchtank kit from BAR-TEK® Motorsport especially for our billet valve cover. Suitable for all 2.0 TFSI engines such as e. g. in the Golf 5 GTI, Audi S3, TTS and many more.
This is the best solution to minimise coking of the intake valves. Excessively coked intake valves can lead to major engine damage due to valve breakage!

Coking on the intake valves and in the intake duct is caused by long-life oils, low-quality fuel and frequent short journeys. In general, coking cannot be prevented, only delayed. We therefore recommend the installation of our oil catchtank kit.
Open system. With our kit, the oil vapours from the crankcase and block ventilation are no longer fed back into the intake tract. The oil vapours are directed into the atmosphere via a filter. All gases go into the crankcase tank. Your engine only gets fresh air. (Not authorised in the area of the StVZO!)
Closed system. The kit directs the oil vapours from the crankcase and block ventilation into the catchtank. All gases go into the catchtank, are filtered and fed back to the suction via a special hose in front of the turbocharger(only for K03 and K04 turbochargers) (Approved in the area of the StVZO in conjunction with our billet valve cover). The kit consists of:
1x open oil catch tank, dimensions: 140mm x 80mm
1x filter
1x holder for the catchtank
1x 2 metre Dash 10 lines with nylon fabric (particularly oil-resistant)
3x 45° Dash 10 fitting
1x straight Dash 10 fitting
2x NPT to Dash 10 adapter 90° for the catchtank
1x adapter boost pressure indicator for the intake manifold
1x adapter for engine ventilation turbocharger
1x adapter Dash 10 Engine ventilation block
1x roll of Teflon tape
1x hose for recirculation turbocharger
1x 8mm hose for extending the tank ventilation
Note on use in cold climates: The Catch tank is primarily designed for a warm climate. In winter at temperatures below 0°C, the condensation that forms in the system can freeze. This would result in increased crankcase pressure, which can lead to engine damage. We recommend checking and draining the catchtank system more frequently in winter or removing it completely for the cold period.
