Thor 501 turbocharger with integrated manifold We have designed the Thor 501 upgrade turbocharger for your 1.8T 20V engine with integral manifold. The special thing about it is that it turns the exhaust housing and manifold into one part. This means that two parts no longer have to be connected at a point where turbulence occurs. Instead, the exhaust gases can flow freely, which greatly improves the response behavior. Thermal stress also has less influence, as there are no longer any sensitive joints. This increases the durability of the turbocharger. The cross-section of the manifold is optimized to improve performance and provide a high boost. Simple installation The Thor 501 turbocharger is designed as a bolt-on kit, making it very easy to install. This is because the downpipe is simply fitted to the original bolt-on point. This kit fits all transverse and longitudinal engines in the 1.8T 20V series with timing belt and no additional adapter plate is required for the head.
