This intake kit contains a custom-made aluminium housing, black powder-coated for a hard-wearing finish. This has the additional purpose of protecting the air filter from the effects of heat. Because the engine bay of the VW Up is so compact, you are very limited in your choice of suction. After many tests, we found this induction kit to be the most suitable for the VW Up in terms of both performance and aesthetics. With gains of up to 8 hp and 10 Nm of torque across the rev range, we are extremely happy with the performance results. Not to mention the different sound the kit gives the small 1.0 litre engine. The Forge- silicone hose has a larger bore and a smooth inside for optimum flow. The hose has been designed to far outperform the OEM part and improve any engine bay both technically and visually.
