APR upgrade Low pressure fuel pump system for all 2.0 TFSI with more than 400 hp.
In the TFSI engine, the fuel system consists of two circuits: One is the low-pressure system (pump in the tank) with approx. 3 to 5 bar working pressure and the other is the high-pressure system (pump on the engine) with approx. 50 to 130 bar. The low-pressure pump supplies the high-pressure pump on the engine.
From an engine output of 400 hp, the low-pressure pump should also be adjusted to the higher fuel consumption required in addition to the high-pressure pump. Otherwise, the low pressure may not be sufficient, especially under full load, and the engine may run down. This can result in serious engine damage!
As the fuel system at 2.0 TFSI does not have a return line to the tank, it is controlled by means of a PWM signal. This means that the fuel pump in the tank is controlled according to demand and therefore only the required amount of fuel reaches the high-pressure pump.
An APR pump is also connected to the low pressure, which is controlled by an extra control unit depending on the boost pressure. With this system in conjunction with the APR high-pressure pump, engine outputs of up to 700 hp can be achieved without any problems!

TFSI pump tappet DLC coated for all 2.0L TFSI engines.
The tappet for the high-pressure pump is subject to very high pressures, tends to wear quickly and should therefore be checked regularly and replaced if necessary. If it breaks or wears out completely, engine damage is usually pre-programmed. We recommend the controller every 10000km and in the ideal case to replace this also directly.
The tappet is coated on the surface DLC.DLC is a very heavy-duty carbon coating that is also used in Formula 1 engines. It reduces wear and increases the service life.

Control unit for the fuel pump for all TFSI & TSI engines.
If you have installed a upgrade- fuel pump, it can often happen that it does not always work correctly. This is usually due to a defective pump. Our experience has shown that this is not the case, but that the control unit is defective and cannot cope with the extra power of your upgrade pump.
This is where the output stage or control unit comes into play. This should always be replaced together with the pump in order to really be able to call up the performance of your upgrade pump.
- The control unit is simply plug & play replaced
- No further changes e. g. to the engine software necessary with standard software!
After installation, check the fuel gauge and readjust with VCDS if necessary.
Maximum current consumption: 17 amps.
If your pump does not function correctly, please have the software tuner programme the pump control (PWM signal) to series!

The problem with many replacement pumps in tuned engines is that the engine runs out of fuel for a short time after ¼ tank filling when cornering. This can cause the engine to start stuttering or even stall. Some replacement pumps therefore have the problem that the original fuel pump bracket has to be machined. With the standard bracket, the pump does not sit deep enough in the tank.

The pump is designed so that it can be installed plug & play. All functions such as e. g. the fuel level indicator can continue to be used as usual.
Our billet adapter made of solid aluminium replaces the factory plastic housing. It is mounted in the tank in the same way as standard.
It is the largest and most reliable fuel pump that fits into a Golf 3 / Corrado fuel tank.

Tired of defective pump tappets? The roller tappet kit from BAR-TEK® for the 2.0 TFSI high-pressure pump offers the ideal solution!
The advantage of the roller tappet conversion kit is that the contact surface of the cam is significantly larger compared to the original bucket tappet. As a result, the force can be better distributed and there is less friction and shear forces at one point. Defective pump tappets are therefore a thing of the past. Defective pump tappets can irreparably damage the cam on the camshaft. The intake camshaft must therefore be completely replaced. In addition, chips caused by the defect can fall into the oil pan. This is where the balancer shaft module is located together with the oil pump. Damage to this module usually results in major engine damage.
Another advantage is the improved guidance of the pump piston. This prevents the high-pressure pump from leaking. The shaft seal of the high-pressure pump can become leaky over time and fuel enters the oil circuit. As a result, the oil loses its lubricating properties and bearing damage occurs on the connecting rods!

Low-pressure upgrade- fuel pump from BAR-TEK® for all TFSI & TSI engines now in the V3 RACE version up to 700 hp!
The fuel supply in the 2.0 TFSI engine consists of two circuits:
One is the low-pressure system (pump in the tank) and the other is the high-pressure system. The low-pressure pump supplies the high-pressure pump on the engine. With a higher engine output, the low-pressure pump should also be adapted to the higher fuel consumption required in addition to the high-pressure pump. Otherwise, the low pressure may not be sufficient, especially under full load, and the engine may run down. This can result in serious engine damage!
The problem with many replacement pumps on tuned engines is that the engine runs out of fuel for a short time when cornering after ¼ tank of fuel. This can cause the engine to start stuttering or even stall. Some replacement pumps therefore have the problem that the original fuel pump bracket has to be machined. As a result, the pump does not sit deep enough in the tank.
- Pump unit is simply plug & play replaced
- Please choose between front or all-wheel drive
- No further changes necessary, for example to the engine software with standard software!
- Delivery rate at 3 bar / approx. 350 litres per hour
After installation, check the fuel gauge and readjust with VCDS if necessary.
The output stage or the control unit should always be replaced together with the pump in order to really be able to call up the performance of your upgrade pump.

The fuel pump of your tuned V10 needs some power if you have an extreme performance increase, such as a turbo or supercharger conversion. Here you need enormous delivery capacity, which the standard pump is unfortunately not expected. The EA888 Evo4 engine has a complex fuel system with low-pressure and high-pressure circuits. The low-pressure pump in the tank supplies the high-pressure pump, which provides the fuel for injection. When increasing performance, it is essential to adapt the low-pressure pump to the increased fuel requirement in order to avoid engine damage due to a lack of fuel.
