Adapter for connecting an external oil cooler for all ZF 8HP50 and 8HP70 transmissions.
Basically, the cooling circuit in turbocharged BMW engines is already quite good. If you increase the power or set your vehicle up for performance, the oil temperature can rise quickly.
This is because the heat exchanger for the transmission oil is connected to the engine\'s water circuit. If temperatures rise there, they also rise in the transmission. The gearbox is often ignored, especially on the track. No matter how good your engine is, without a gearbox there is no propulsion.
We have designed a CNC milled adapter to mount an external oil cooler precisely to eliminate this problem. Plug and play.
Our adapter is simply screwed onto the gearbox instead of the gearbox heat exchanger. Thanks to Dash 10 connections, you can easily adapt an oil cooler. At the same time, the engine\'s water circuit is relieved, allowing you to optimise this area even further. Two birds with one stone!

Oil cooler kit with 13-row oil cooler.
Our oil cooler kit can reduce oil temperatures by up to 25 °C and ensures constant oil pressure. This also prevents the engine seals from hardening, which has a positive effect on the service life of the engine.

Get durability and cooling performance.
The overall design and performance of the oil cooling system for the S55 has been maximized with a performance oil cooler. The lightweight design has been replaced in favor of an all-aluminum cooler with. The thickness of the mesh has been increased by 10mm, representing a 46% increase in core volume, and oil capacity has been increased by 0.42 liters.
In addition, the system is further protected by improving the piping. From the factory, these vehicles are equipped with unyielding piping that is susceptible to abrasion and corrosion damage. The oil cooler kit offers vehicle-specific, flexible and durable nylon lines for a safer oil circulation system. Also included are special adapters that allow AN connections from the OEM BMW S55 oil pump and a secure connection to the oil cooler. The oil cooler fits directly in place of the stock oil cooler.

\"Problems\" with oil cooling are not foreign to the N55 engine, so we recommend installing the MSL oil thermostat. The standard oil thermostat reaches around 120 degrees F under normal driving conditions. The MSL oil thermostat opens at a lower temperature than the standard oil thermostat (at 85 degrees) and maintains a stable temperature between 95 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the vehicle model. Installing the MSL thermostat provides a cooler oil temperature, which results in more stable performance, but most importantly, improves engine reliability. We recommend installing the thermostat, especially on tuned vehicles.
The thermostat is plug-and-play and is manufactured directly at Mosselmann\'s own factory from a solid block of high quality aluminum. It features a true thermostat and is not an \"always open\" solution. The oil warms up just as fast as with a stock thermostat.Features:
