Optimum connection between crankshaft and flywheel for VW and Audi.
Improve the safety and performance of your engine with our high-quality friction disc, specially developed for all EA888 Gen. 1 to evo4 engines. We recommend installing our friction disc, especially for performance-enhanced engines.
Why do you need a friction disc for your EA888 engine?
In engines with high power and correspondingly high torque, micro-movements can occur in the connection between the flywheel and crankshaft. Even with ARP- screws, there is a risk that play will develop at this point over time, which can lead to serious damage to the crankshaft. In the worst case, the flywheel can break off.
Our solution:
The Friction Disc This disc increases the friction between the flywheel and crankshaft by up to 300 %, ensures a much more stable connection and significantly reduces micromovements. Thanks to its thin design (just 0.2 mm), it does not affect the clutch or gearbox, making it the perfect addition for high-performance engines.

Our BAR-TEK® Motorsport single flywheel is a complete billet flywheel. The flywheel was turned from solid 42CrMo4 CNC, milled and then finely balanced.
Although the original dual-mass flywheel provides better starting comfort, it is too heavy and, more importantly, it is not suitable for high torque transmission. The Race single-mass flywheel from BAR-TEK® is much lighter yet sturdier than the original part.
It is specially designed for all TDI engines with 02Q transmission.

The original dual mass flywheel provides better starting comfort, but is heavy and - more importantly - not suitable for high torque transmission. The RACE single-mass flywheel from Sachs or BAR-TEK® is much lighter and yet much more stable than the original part.
Does not fit DSG vehicles, only manual transmission with 6-speed gearbox. Clutch must be specially made by Sachs for EMS.

CNC DSG flywheel reinforcement made from high-strength material.
When increasing performance and the associated increase in clutch pressure, the gearing for holding the input shaft is subjected to the greatest stress. It often happens that the gearing is simply sheared off.
This is where our billet spider comes into play. This replaces the original spider, which can withstand significantly more torque. Successfully tested with 1300 Nm.

Why do you need a high-boost dual-mass flywheel?
Our high-boost flywheel has a reinforced billet insert. The insert is milled from a solid piece and is therefore particularly strong. This solves the problem that at particularly high torques the gearing can no longer withstand the high forces and breaks away.
Important tip: Single mass flywheels should not be fitted to the 2.5L TFSI engine. Converting to a rigid single mass flywheel can cause the crankshaft to break on the 5-cylinder TFSI engine!

Reinforced dual mass flywheel (DMF) for all 2.5L TFSI with DQ500 transmission.
When fitting a sports clutch, we recommend replacing the dual mass flywheel at the same time. This has the advantage of immediately eliminating a weak point and saves double work, which would occur in the event of a later defect. At high torque, the teeth of the input shaft or flywheel are simply sheared off.We replace the original ring gear with a billet part that can withstand significantly more torque.
