High-strength steel inlet valves from Ferrea for Focus RS.

The Ford standard valves have the major disadvantage that they can break in engines with a significant increase in power or with long mileage. The standard valves are hollow inside and sodium-cooled. With the very thin valve stem of only 5.5 mm, there is not much material left to protect the valve!

Ferrea valves offer the following advantages:

• High temperature resistance
• Strong tear resistance
• Heat-treated material

• Available in original size or 1mm oversize
• The kit contains 8 valves

For 1 mm oversize valves, the valve seat must be adapted.

When installing a new three groove valve, we always recommend installing new OEM valve keys. This ensures that the valve is properly seated. If used wedges are used, they may have clogged, the valve will not seat correctly and will have play.

Ferrea is also used in major racing series such as Formula 1, Indy, Nascar and drag racing.

The Ford standard springs have the big disadvantage that they can break or jam the valve springs on engines with a significant power increase and at higher revs. Both problems lead to a capital engine damage! These valve springs have an extra adapted spring rate for high performance.
