ARP 2000 5/16\" connecting rod bolts in 38.1mm length.

Universally applicable for all H-shafted connecting rods.

ARP connecting rod bolts have been developed for the highest demands and offer optimum safety.

The connecting rod bolts are heat-treated and rolled, giving them up to 10 times greater fatigue strength.

Highly recommended for tuned engines in particular!
It is best to replace the connecting rod bearing at the same time.

A 3/8\" socket should be used for assembly.

ARP conrods- screws made from heat-treated, high-strength chrome-molybdenum forged steel.

Higher tensile strength than standard bolts and therefore far more resilient. Highly recommended, especially for tuned engines!

The ARP screws are only suitable for the original VR6 conrods, not for H-shafted connecting rods. As a rule, 5/16\"screws are required for steel connecting rods.

Note: It is best to replace the connecting rod bearings at the same time.

ARP manufactures replacement rod bolts for many popular import and domestic Sport Compact engines that are made of premium grade 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to a nominal tensile strength of 200,000 psi.

We recommend to change also conrod bearings.

Tightening instruction:

Install studs only by hand in the block

Use plenty of ARP paste on the nuts and tight from the middle to the oustside in 3 equal steps: 20/40/80Nm

The tightening torque is 110Nm, but it is better to take a dial gauge and tighten the stud bolts to stretch.
